Mercedes-Benz A-Class Facelift Launched At Rs. 24.95 lakh
Mercedes-Benz has launched the A-Class facelift in India for Rs. 24.95 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). The facelifted hatchback is the German carmaker's 15th product to be launched in India this year, under the 15 in '15 strategy. Since the hatchback's release back in 2012, over 5 lakh units have been sold globally.
Mercedes-Benz' 15 in '15 strategy, which was to launch 15 models in the year 2015, has helped the carmaker lead the luxury car segment in India. The new facelifted A-Class will feature upgrades on the exterior as well as the interior.

- Mercedes-Benz A-Class A 180 Sport (Petrol): Rs. 24.95 lakh
- Mercedes-Benz A-Class A 200 d (Diesel): Rs. 25.95 lakh

Engine, Gearbox And Specifications
The 2016 facelifted Mercedes-Benz A-Class will retain the same powertrain as the outgoing model, which is a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine.
The petrol engine is 1.6-litre unit that produces 121bhp and 200Nm of torque while the 2.2-litre diesel engine now produces 135bhp and 300Nm of torque. Both models are mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
Features
On the features front, the facelift mercedes A-Class gets redesigned bumpers, headlight and tail lamp, and the overall design of the car looks sleeker compared to the older generation model. For the interior, the hatchback gets a 8-inch, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, aided with Apple Car Play and MirrorLink. The car also gets new materials for the dash and seat.
Safety
Mercedes-Benz offers safety features on the A-Class such as 6 airbags, Attention Assist, Brake Assist (BAS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start, and adaptive braking.
Available Colours
The facelifted A-Class is available in five colours — Elbaite Green, Cirrus White, Jupiter Red, Cosmos Black, and Polar Silver.
Competition
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class facelift will compete with models such as the Volvo V40 and the BMW X1 in the Indian market.
