Mercedes-Benz To Launch The Facelift A-Class This Month
Mercedes-Benz is on a spree of launches new models in India to capture the top spot in luxury car sales in India. Now, Mercedes-Benz has decided the final product that will be launched and it will be the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
The Strategy by Mercedes-Benz was called 15 in '15, which was to launch 15 models in 2015. This strategy has helped the German carmaker as the brand is the leading luxury carmaker in India.
The facelifted Mercedes-Benz A-Class will launch on the December 8, 2015. The new A-Class hatchback will receive exterior and interior upgrades. The car will also follow Mercedes-Benz' new nomenclature, where the CDI badge for diesel models will be replaced by a simple 'd' suffix after the model name.
In terms of exterior design, the new A-Class will get revised bumpers, headlight and tail lamp, and new exhaust tips. For the interior, there will be a new instrument cluster design, revised switches, and an infotainment system with smartphone integration, which will be the first of its kind.
Powering the new facelift A-Class could possibly be the same engines that are currently being offered. The powertrains on the car are a 1,995cc, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 120bhp or a 2,143cc diesel engine that develops 134bhp. Both engines come paired to a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
