Mercedes-AMG To Ramp Up V12 Engine Production
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
Mercedes-AMG has announced that it will increase production of its 6-litre twin turbo V12 AMG Engine to keep with the increase in demand for the engine.
AMG will start producing the turbocharged V12's at the Mercedes Mannheim plant to allow its own factory in Affalterbach to concentrate on the high performance V8 engines. The engine building at the new factory will still retain AMG's vision of 'One Man, One Engine' assembly.
AMG currently uses its twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre V12 engine for the SL65 AMG, the S65 AMG sedan, coupe and cabriolet and the G65 AMG SUV.
