Mercedes-AMG GT Could Launch In India During 2015

Mercedes-Benz has promised to launch 15 new vehicles in India during 2015. Now the German manufacturer promises that out of the 15, one of the vehicles could be the Mercedes-AMG GT supercar.

The German luxury car maker has launched its AMG GT in Europe and would be an interesting supercar, when offered in India. Mercedes-Benz India is doing well in India and their market share is increasing all the time.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is offered in two variants:

• The first is a base model called Mercedes-AMG GT, which features a 4.0-litre, bi-turbo V8 engine. It produces 462 horsepower, along with 600 Nm of peak torque. The supercar sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds flat.
• The second model is known as the Mercedes-AMG GT S, which sports the same 4.0-litre, bi-turbo V8 engine. Engineers have tuned this mill to produce 510 horsepower, along with 650 Nm of peak torque. The supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Both models will get a similar 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission with electronic differential.

The German manufacturer will equip its flagship model with several gadgets and features. It will feature double wishbone suspension, adaptive braking, attention assist, high beam assist, electronic control dampers and many more safety and performance goodies.

We believe the Mercedes-AMG GT will cost approximately INR 2,00,00,000 ex-showroom. The Mercedes-AMG GT S on the other hand will cost more, it will be priced at roughly INT 2,50,00,000 ex-showroom. We cannot wait to see this supercar and will provide more details as and when available.
