Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Launching In India During 2015
Mercedes-Benz India has promised that it would be launching 15 new products in 2015. The German manufacturer has not revealed all its upcoming models for 2015. Now it is expected that they will launch their C 63 AMG by the third quarter of 2015.
The German luxury car maker recently launched its C-Class diesel and confirmed local assembly of its petrol powered C-Class sedan. C 63 AMG is a more performance oriented version of the otherwise subtle sedan. It is currently on offer in other markets.
Internationally the C 63 AMG is available in two performance versions. For India, however, it is expected to be available in a single avatar. This performance oriented sedan will be priced at a premium and is expected to cost INR 1,25,00,000. This vehicle will be launched basically for bragging rights.
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S will be powered by a V8, 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine. This engine generates 503 bhp, along with 699.22 Nm of peak torque output. It promises a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in four seconds flat and has a fuel efficiency figure of 14.66 kpl, which is not bad.
Mercedes currently offers a wide range of AMG vehicles in India and plan on increasing its range further. The German manufacturer currently offers CLA 45 AMG, E 63 AMG, GLA 45 AMG, SLK 55 AMG, ML 63 AMG and GL 63 AMG. During 2015, they plan on introducing two new AMG vehicles the C 63 S and GT S supercar.
The main rival for Mercedes AMG C 63 S will be BMW and their M3 sedan. The M3 looks and feels more sporty in stance, when compared with the C 63 S. They both have their positive and negatives, however, we will see which one is better overall once we get our hands behind the steering wheel.
