The McLaren 650S Spyder is a rather good looking car in its own right. However, when McLaren Special Operations decided to fiddle around with one, the result is the rather stunning and bespoke. McLaren 650S Al Sahara 79.
Bespoke Desert Car
The McLaren 650S Spyder Al Sahara 79 was created by McLaren's Special Operations Divison and boasts a paint scheme and specifications inspired by the cultures of Arabia.
24 Karat Paint
The white gold paint scheme pays tribute to the Al Sahara name. Al Sahara is Arabic for desert. The pearlescent finish is achieved by adding 24 karat gold particles to the paint. It is also a tribute to the number 79 in the name. Gold's Atomic Number is 79
More White and Gold
The white gold finish is also seen on the centre console as well as the steering wheel and the door panels.
Black Top Beauty
The roof is finished in gloss black paint.
The wheels of the 650S Spyder Al Sahara 79 have also been given the gloss black treatment.
Dollops of Carbon Fibre
The McLaren Special Operations branded side splitter along with the side intakes, front splitter, and rear are all made from Carbon Fibre.
Checkered Leather Upholstery
The interior features dollops of black and white leather upholstery.
