Maserati Contemplating An Official Indian Comeback During 2015
The premium car market is slowly yet steadily growing in India. More and more manufacturers are planning on offering their products.
Now Maserati is contemplating on making a comeback to Indian market. This time, however, they are planning to enter the country as a an independent manufacturer.
Previously Maserati vehicles were sold in India through the Ferrari dealerships which were also scrapped due to certain issues. The Prancing Horse has also made its re-entry into India market.
Maserati's new and official showroom is most likely to be situated in Mumbai. The Italian brand is exploring options that are in the vicinity of the domestic airport for ease of travelling.
Not all vehicles by Maserati will be available from the very beginning. Maserati will introduce primarily only its Quattroporte and GranTurismo models in India.
Indian premium luxury car buyers will be keen on Maserati's Ghibli, which will be their most affordable offering. It is expected to bear a price tag of INR 90,00,000 to INR 95,00,000 ex-showroom.
Maserati is also expected to bring its very first SUV to 2016 Auto Expo, which will be launched subsequently. Interesting are up ahead and it will important to see how the Italian fares in India.
