Maruti Suzuki To Give Eeco Much Needed Facelift In 2015
Japanese automobile giant, Maruti Suzuki has had a successful year in India in 2014. They plan to continue the momentum into 2015 by launching new products and refreshing most of the products in their portfolio.
In 2014, Maruti Suzuki launched two new products, the Celerio and Ciaz both catering to different buyers. They also provided facelifts and refreshes to a couple of their vehicles. Now the Japanese manufacturer has decided to give its Eeco vehicle a much needed facelift.
The Eeco is powered by a single engine and is offered with either petrol or CNG fuel options. It gets a robust 1.2-litre petrol engine, which is BS-4 compliant. This engine is capable of producing 73 bhp and a peak torque output of 101Nm. The four cylinder engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki offers 5 trim levels for its Eeco model which are priced from INR 3,36,775 for base model, while the top of the line model costs INR 4,43,467 ex-showroom, Mumbai. These vehicles are versatile and are used in different fields for commercial as well as personal use.
The refreshed Eeco for 2015 is expected to receive several design changes. Interior and exterior will be improved for a better experience. The Japanese manufacturer is expected to offer air-conditioning in their top-spec model. Safety features will also be improved further to make it future ready.
The refreshed Eeco will not be launched any time soon and we expect it by end of 2015. We believe Maruti Suzuki could charge a bit more for the 2015 Eeco, the price will be justified with added features and better vehicle design. The MPV is currently a basic model and offers value for money to its customers.
