Maruti Suzuki S-Cross To Be Showcased On 7th June
Maruti Suzuki has not had a new product launch in India recently. The last big launch by Maruti Suzuki was their premium sedan offering Ciaz, which brought the company back on track.
Now the Japanese manufacturer has planned on introducing a slew of products in India. The first from Maruti Suzuki's stable is most likely going to be their S-Cross crossover model.
S-Cross by Maruti Suzuki will be showcased on 7th of June, 2015. It will not be showcased in India, however, it will be the Indian-spec as well as among several Bollywood stars at IIFA Awards 2015.
Japanese engineers will be providing their S-Cross with a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel mill. Performance figures have not been revealed so far and will be provided at a date closer to launch.
Maruti Suzuki's S-Cross will compete against the likes of Renault's Duster, Nissan Terrano and Ford's EcoSport. In terms of pricing we are expecting it to be in the range of INR 8,00,000 to INR 12,00,000 ex-showroom.
Interiors are expected to be similar to that on offer in Maruti Suzuki's Swift and Swift Dzire models. It will also be interesting to see if Maruti Suzuki offers the S-Cross through their premium dealerships or through their regular ones.
