Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Commence Booking As Launch Approaches Soon
Maruti Suzuki recently launched its Celerio with a diesel mill under the hood. Now the Japanese based manufacturer will focus on introducing new products in Indian market.
The very first new product from Maruti Suzuki will be their S-Cross model. This vehicle is based on their SX4 model, which was previously on sale in India and is a crossover model.
S-Cross is available in several international markets and is doing decent in terms of sales. Now it has been confirmed that S-Cross will make its India debut during first week of July, 2015.
Pre-booking for S-Cross has also commenced by Maruti Suzuki authorised dealerships across India. It is expected to bear a price tag of INR 8,50,000 for the base variant.
This will be Maruti Suzuki's second product in the premium segment of vehicles in India. Their first one was the Ciaz sedan, which was pitted against Honda City and witnessed a great start.
Maruti Suzuki had previously launched two premium vehicles in India, which did not fare well. They were Kizashi and Grand Vitara, with the introduction of Ciaz and S-Cross the company is attempting another leap into premium car segment.
S-Cross will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options by Maruti Suzuki. It is most likely to take on the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and soon to launch Hyundai Creta.
