Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Aims At Selling 5,000 Models Per Month
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was introduced to Indian markets on 5th of August, 2015. It was their first attempt at launching a premium crossover in India through their exclusive Nexa dealerships.
Japanese manufacturer has introduced its S-Cross to take on the likes of Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano in India. They have at this moment only launched their crossover with diesel engine options.
Among four-wheelers, Maruti Suzuki is the top-seller and has high expectations from S-Cross. They plan to sell 5,000 premium crossovers across the country every month through Nexa.
Here are the engine options offered by Maruti Suzuki for S-Cross:
- 1.2-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine, which produces 88.47 horsepower and 200 Nm of peak torque. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
- 1.6-litre DDiS 320 diesel engine, which produces 117.96 horsepower and 320 Nm of peak torque. It is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki will also be providing its S-Cross with dual airbags and ABS as standard safety equipment across variants. Several Indian vehicle buyers trust the brand name and it is possible for them to achieve this goal.
