Maruti Suzuki is one of the leading automobile manufacturers in India. They have introduced several new and interesting vehicles, which have witnessed tremendous success in the nation.
The Japanese manufacturer just like every other company has to take part in a certain CSR activity. They will be spending INR fig crores on their corporate social responsibility project.
They will be setting up several automobile skill enhancement centres across India. These workshops will have modern equipment and training apparatus for practice.
Maruti Suzuki will be training 2100 Indian youngsters, there will be full time trainers for better training. The goal is to make these individuals job ready by providing hands on training at local service stations.
Pankaj Narula, Executive Director, Maruti Suzuki, said, "Through this initiative, Maruti Suzuki wants to contribute to the national effort for skill development and employability."
He further added, "With the growth in number of vehicles on roads, quality repair and maintenance offers a major employment opportunity. Automobile Skill Enhancement Centres will provide hands-on experience to trainees and make them capable of quality service and repair of vehicles."
Youngsters will have to attend 50 days of training for which they would get a skill certificate. Training provided will be under the ITI curriculum and individuals can work for any service centre not only Maruti Suzuki.
