Maruti Suzuki has hiked the price of several models during August, 2015. They have, however, decided not to hike price of their recently launched S-Cross premium crossover.
Maximum increase by Maruti Suzuki has been limited to INR 9,000 and is effective from 11th of August, 2015. Several of models will witness an increase in price from INR 3,000 onwards.
India's largest manufacturer and seller of four-wheelers has not provided an exact breakdown of price hike of each model yet. Major reason for price hike is being pointed towards increase in raw material costs.
Every model from Alto 800 to Ciaz by Maruti Suzuki will witness a price hike in Indian market. Price hike could be different in various cities owing to logistic and other reasons.
Recently Hyundai Motors India also announced a price hike across their range of vehicles. The Korean based manufacturer claimed raw material prices for its hike and increased prices up to INR 30,000.
We could witness a hike in price by several other manufacturers in the country as well. Stay tuned as we will provide you with more updates if other manufacturers increase model prices.
