Mahindra Launches XUV500 With Automatic Transmission
Mahindra has launched the XUV500 with a six-speed automatic gearbox in India. Prices for the automatic start at Rs. 15.53 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi) for the front-wheel-drive W8 variant.
The XUV500 automatic will also be available with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the W10 variant as well.
The automatic variants of the XUV500 will go on sale from December 5, 2015.

Engine And Specification
On the engine front, the XUV500 remains the same. The SUV is powered by the same 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 140bhp and 330Nm of torque. Power is delivered via the old 6-speed manual gearbox or the new automatic gearbox.
Features
The top-of-the-line XUV500 will be available with features such as projector headlamps, daytime running lights, electric sun roof, electrically adjustable driver's seat, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS, automatic temperature control, brake energy regeneration, reverse parking sensors, and cruise control.
Safety
The XUV500 is offered with a host of safety features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), 6 airbags, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
Competition
The XUV 500 automatic will compete with the Hyundai Creta.
