Mahindra XUV500 & Other Models To Get AMT Update By 2016
Mahindra has realised that more Indian vehicle buyers are preferring automatic models over manuals. One of the most important reasons is comfortable driving without the use of the clutch.
The Indian manufacturer recently introduced Automated Manual Transmission as an option to its New-Gen Scorpio. Now they have decided to offer it on almost every model in their portfolio.
The XUV500 with AMT will be launched by early 2016 itself, which will be a great addition and will surely attract more buyers. Mahindra recently provided its premium SUV with a much needed facelift.
Good news is that each and every model launching from Mahindra stable will receive an AMT option. This will surely give them an advantage over competitors and will boost new model sales.
Mahindra TUV300, U215, S101 and all new models will benefit from this update, however, it is most likely that most of them would not have an AMT during their launch.
For its smaller and compact SUV range, Mahindra will source its AMT from either Magneti Marelli or ZF. Mahindra will be develop its very own AMT for larger and full size SUV models in India.
