Mahindra TUV 300: Eight Stand Out Features
Mahindra has finally launched its much awaited TUV 300 for a starting price of INR 6.90 lakh. It has been a very anticipated launch for the carmaker itself, since this segment has an intense battle going on and is also a growing segment.
The current leader in this segment is the Ford EcoSport, which is offered with a petrol as well as a diesel engine. Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki soon followed with their versions of the compact SUV.
So what makes the TUV 300 stand out from the other compact SUVs? Here are eight stand out features of the Mahindra TUV 300:
1. Design:
The exterior design of the TUV 300 is inspired from battle tanks displaying a robust outer cover. It has a bold stance and has been built on a new platform.
2. Engine:
Powering the TUV 300 is a 1.5-litre, three cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine that produces 84 horsepower and 230 Nm of peak torque.
3. Transmission:
The TUV 300 is available with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission. This is the first Mahindra product that will feature the AMT, co-developed with Ricardo.
4. Seating:
In spite of being a sub-4 metre SUV, it can actually seat 7 occupants. The last two jump seats are not the most comfortable seats in the world but in this segment, no other SUVs can seat this many.
5. Safety:
Apart from its robust design, the Tuv 300 is equipped with ABS and airbags as a standard feature.
6. Entertainment:
Entertainment in the TUV 300 comes via a 2-DIN music system and a large touchscreen infotainment system that allows Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in connectivity.
7. Ground Clearance:
Ground Clearance is something very important in a SUV and the TUV 300 offers loads of it-184 mm to be exact.
8. Colours:
The TUV 300 is available in a choice of 6 colours—Verve Blue, Glacier Blue, Dynamo Red, Majestic Silver, Bold Black, Molten Orange.
