Mahindra Signs MoU For Skill Development Program
India's largest manufacturer and seller of utility vehicles, Mahindra takes part in several initiatives for a better tomorrow. They are always trying to find new and better ways to improve their products. Now they have signed a MoU with Automotive Skills Development Council for Skill Development Program.
The Indian manufacturers goal is to create employment for future generations in automotive sector. Mahindra and ASDC will use their core competencies that will offer training program for interested individuals. They will offer training is sales, service as well as manufacturing.
Sanjoy Gupta, Vice President - Customer Care, Automotive Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. commented, "With the aim of enhancing the technical skill of youth and creating an employable pool of skilled manpower, today, we have taken the first step by collaborating with ASDC. It is our endeavour to identify employable youth and train them on specific automotive skills to make them industry ready."
He further added, "As a socially responsible corporate, we wish to address the resource crunch in the Indian automotive industry by helping to develop a pool of skilled manpower via relevant partnerships. Keeping this approach in mind, our tie-up with ASDC is a significant step in the same direction. ASDC will provide the relevant industry expertise and academic edge while Mahindra will provide the infrastructural support to the students."
Mahindra currently has 30 training centre spread across 16 states of India. They train roughly 30,000 people for various dealerships across the nation. Their newly found partnership with ASDC, can avail of 18 dedicated training facilities for various courses they offer. All of them are equipped with the best equipment for training.
