The Indian Government had announced incentives and benefits for electric car makers during Union Budget. They decided to allot INR 795 crore incentives to producers of electric vehicles.
Mahindra Reva e2o is the first electric vehicle to benefit from Government's decision. They have reduced the price of their vehicle considerably in India.
Reva e2o is currently available in several cities across India. They are planning to enter Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bhopal soon to provide its product to a wider audience.
Owing to Faster Adoption and manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles scheme (FAME). Mahindra's Reva e2o is now priced at an attractive price for buyers in India.
- Mahindra Reva T2 is priced at INR 4,99,000 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
- Mahindra Reva T2O is priced at INR 5,38,912 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
In the previous year Mahindra managed to sell little less than 600 units. This added incentive and price cut will surely boost sales of Reva e2o in India.
Customers will still have to pay the a additional charge for battery per month which accounts for INR 2,999. This cost will be applied for first five years or 50,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
