Mahindra e2o To Cost Less Owing To FAME Scheme By Government
The Indian Government is serious about cleaning up the environment. They recently launched their FAME scheme, which provides subsidies to electric vehicle manufactures.
One of the most popular Indian electric vehicles is e2o by Mahindra. Price of this vehicle was too much and kept potential buyers away. Now the Government has reduced the prices considerably.
The Indian Government had kept aside INR 795 crore to promote electric vehicles. Mahindra e2o has been approved under the FAME scheme and will witness a price cut of INR 1,50,000.
Currently all metro cities across India can avail of this benefit on Mahindra e2o. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Kolkata and NCR. It also includes cities with over a million population and smart cities.
Here are the new prices for Mahindra e2o electric vehicles in India:
- Mahindra e2o T2 model revised price INR 4,99,000.
- Mahindra e2o T2O Quick2Charge model revised price INR 5,38,000.
*all prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.
Surely now the e2o makes a better buying proposition than before. There are surely going to be more individuals who will opt for electric vehicles now. Customers will still have to pay the INR 2,999/month as part of the battery leasing scheme.
