M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5 Rally Car Launched With Ken Block’s Help
Ken Block and Hoonigan Racing Division have helped launch the new M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5 rally car which will debut during the New England Forest Rally.
Piloting the car will be American driver Ramana Lagemann and Canadian co-driver Nathalie Richard. In a press release, Lagemann said, "I have followed the Fiesta R5 since its inception, and I have been impressed with how successful the platform has proven to be."
Lagemann feels that the car's new 2.0-litre engine will be perfect for the North American rally stages, and was impressed by the engine's response and torque.
Being a former Subaru factory driver, Lagemann opted out of regular participation in the Rally America series. In the Olympus Rally last month, the American driver won, driving a BMW M3 in the 2WD class.
Lagemann, who has not been behind the wheel of a AWD rally car for some time now, wants to take it step by step and produce a solid result for him and the team at the end.
Now, coming to Ken Block, he will participate in the rally as well with his Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle, which is designed to do Rallycross, stage rally or the Gymkhana event itself.
