Italian supercar manufacturer has showcased its luxury performance SUV on several occasions. The Lamborghini Urus SUV will be available in various markets by 2018.
There were rumours of Lamborghini manufacturing its luxury performance SUV in a new facility out of Italy. It has now been confirmed that the Urus will be built in Italy itself keeping true to its origin.
Lamborghini is currently owned by Volkswagen Group who own several other automobile brands. Urus will be built on the same platform that is used by Audi's Q7 and Bentley's Bentayga.
The Raging Bull manufacturer will hire even more employees to accommodate the production of Urus. Lamborghini will expand its manufacturing unit as well for production of their luxury SUV.
The Urus performance SUV will be offered in select markets primarily. USA, China, UK, Germany, Russia and Middle East will be the first to receive Lamborghini Urus in 2018.
Engine specs are not out as of now, however, knowing Lamborghini we are sure that they will provide a mammoth sized engine. Expect a V10 turbocharged engine with an electric motor as well.
