Lamborghini To Celebrate Founder's 100th Birthday With Centenario
Lamborghini looks set to mark their founder Ferrucio Lamborhini's 100th birth anniversary with a limited run supercar that will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016.
The news about the new car was broken by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann in an interview with British car magazine Auto Express.
The new car is likely to be badged the Centenario in recognition of the anniversary and will feature a retuned version of the Aventador SV's 6.5-litre V10. Only 20 Centenarios will ever get off the production line.
Speaking about the car, Winkelman told the magazine "It is a car which is covering the best balance between tradition and innovation because we are speaking about performance, design, weight, aerodynamics and also the chassis in terms of adaptability control. You are familiar with our one-offs; it will be something like this, a coupe bodystyle. And it will initiate the celebration of the 100 years."
