Koenigsegg Regera To Be Unveiled At 2015 Geneva Motor Show
At the popular Geneva Motor Show, Koenigsegg will be revealing it 'Regera' hypercar model. The Swedish manufacturer explains that this new car will be their flagship model. In Sweden, the word ‘Regera' translates to reign, rule or govern.
Koenigsegg engineers are expected to provide the similar engine, which power their One:1 hypercar. In the One:1 performance is achieved by a 5.0-litre, V8 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine. The engine generates a mammoth 1322 horsepower, however, expect the Regera to be tuned to deliver more.
The Regera is expected to be faster and more aerodynamic than its predecessor the One:1. Koenigsegg will try to make it the fastest production hypercar in the world. There is no confirmation how many or how much will the Koenigsegg Regera cost.
Once launched the Regera will have to fight off with established contenders. Koenigsegg hypercar will compete with supercar exotics like Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1 and Ferrari's LaFerrari.
The Swedish manufacturer had earlier announced that it would be launching an all-new Agera RS model. This too is slated to be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Koenigsegg will be launching two new hypercars at the upcoming motor show during March, 2015.
