Koenigsegg Choose Castrol As Exclusive Lubricant For One:1 Supercar

The Koenigsegg One:1 is probably the ultimate supercar that only six people can own. Now, the company has chosen Castrol as its exclusive lubricant partner.

The twin-turbocharged, 5.0-litre V8 engine that produces 1,341 horsepower goes through immense stress compared to any regular car and it needs to be lubricated efficiently as well.

So, to keep the engine well lubed, Koenigsegg has formed a partnership with Castrol and Castrol's Edge-branded engine oil will be the exclusive lubricant for the One:1.

Christian von Koenigsegg, the CEO and Founder of Koenigsegg said that after extensive testing, Castrol had the ideal solution and it was the Titanium Fluid Strength Technology, or Titanium FST.

Testing has proved that the oil doubles the film strength, thus preventing oil film degeneration and reducing friction to a great extent.
