Jenson Button Wants Honda To Imitate Ferrari In Formula One
McLaren Honda has witnessed a wretched year in Formula One Championship. At the helm of their cars were Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button. The duo are former World Champions and have given their best performance, which did not prove beneficial at all.
Now Jenson Button has commented that he would like Honda to imitate Ferrari. The British-based driver wants Honda to progress tremendously during the winter session just as Ferrari did prior to 2015 Championship.
Formula One introduced the 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged hybrid engine era in 2014. Mercedes benefitted the most during 2014 Championship with Lewis Hamilton winning most races. Ferrari managed only a single race win during the 2014 season.
Honda made huge claims prior to entering 2015 Championship. Unfortunately, by then all other teams had made further developments and were far ahead of Honda. Alonso and Button have clearly claimed their displeasure with McLaren and Honda's development.
2016 Formula One Championship is expected to be more interesting with a few minor rule changes. McLaren Honda has a long and difficult winter ahead in terms of development. Button and Alonso are confident that the team will improve from last years debacle.
