Jeep Launches Official Website Prior To India Entry
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is the owner of several automotive brands. For a while now they have attempted to bring the Jeep brand to Indian shores. The plan was to introduce the luxury SUV brand in India roughly two years ago, however, those plans did not succeed.
Jeep has now officially launched its official website for Indian fans and enthusiasts. The SUV manufacturer has also launched its social media pages. Jeep India is now officially on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from December 30, 2015.
Not much has been revealed on Jeep India's official website. Details of only the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler models have been provided. Jeep will be officially entering the Indian market within the coming months.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be showcasing its portfolio at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. Jeep will also be showcasing its vehicle at the motor show and it is most likely to display its Wrangler and Grand Cherokee models. The launch of either product will be followed within 2016.
Jeep is most likely to introduce its first products in the country via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is looking at options of a local assembly, however, that could take a while. Recently, Fiat introduced its Abarth brand in India and is confident on getting premium brands into the country.
