JCB India has set a production landmark by rolling out its 100,000th JCB ecoMAX engine in its fifth year of production. The company started manufacturing its own range of engines for its machinery in India in 2011. Today, the JCB ecoMAX engines are regarded as one of the most fuel efficient, reliable, and productive engines available in the Indian market.
JCB currently manufactures three types of engines: naturally aspirated, turbocharged, and electronic, which are in the range of 75bhp to 162bhp in its four-cylinder configuration. JCB additionally provides six-cylinder engine range for larger applications.
Vipin Sondhi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of JCB India said, "This is a remarkable achievement for JCB. It is a matter of great pride for us, our team of young men and women to roll out 100,000th made in India ecoMAX engine from our facility at Ballabgarh."
