JBM Motors Ltd. To Launch Premium Buses In March, 2015
JBM Group is among the leading auto component manufacturer in India. They currently have 35 manufacturing facilities along with four engineering and design centres spread across 18 location around the globe. The manufacturer has also begun its bus manufacturing facility called JBM Motors Ltd.
JBM Motors Ltd. had launched its first true low floor bus for Indian markets. The manufacturer has christened its new bus as the ‘Citylife'. This new bus has been manufactured at the company's facility in Faridabad, Haryana and Kosi in Uttar Pradesh.
The Citylife bus was first displayed by JBM Motors at the 2014 Auto Expo, which was held in Delhi. JBM Motors will be partnering with BredaMenariniBus (BMB), which is a popular bus manufacturer from Europe. The bus manufacturing project is being backed by an investment of INR 500 crore.
JBM has now confirmed they have been working on more premium buses and will be launching them in March, 2015. These new buses will compete with the likes of Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and Scania premium bus models, which are already on sale in India.
These buses will be locally assembled and are expected to be priced competitively against its competitors. JBM Motors Ltd. plans to offer three engine options. The first will be a pure diesel mill generating 280 horsepower, while the other two will be CNG powered engines producing 230 and 280 horsepower respectively.
These premium buses will have several safety features like ABS with EBD and EBS. All wheels will have superior braking force owing to the disc brakes on all wheels. The manufacturer also plans on offering automated ticket vending and halt on request button for passengers to get off the bus.
