Jaguar Land Rover To Inaugurate New Facility In Slovakia
Jaguar Land Rover has been looking at options to set up their new manufacturing facility. Now the British based automobile manufacturer plans on inaugurating a new facility in Slovakia.
Currently Jaguar Land Rover has two operational manufacturing facilities in United Kingdom and China. They are also setting up a facility in Brazil and have a local assembly facility in India.
Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia said, "The Slovakian Government is delighted to be selected as Jaguar Land Rover's preferred location for this feasibility study."
He further added, "We are committed to developing Slovakia's premium automotive industry and, should we be successful, this investment would represent a significant step forward in achieving this.
The Slovakian manufacturing unit will surely boost the output of Jaguar Land Rover products. This is expected to increase sales and customers will receive their luxury vehicles sooner, lowering waiting periods.
Jaguar Land Rover plans to have an annual production capacity of 5,00,000 models, which it plans to double by the next five years. Slovakia and China will be instrumental in achieving these production targets.
