Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover and the Slovakian government will sign an agreement to open a new production facility according to a report by Reuters. The agreement will be signed this week.
Jaguar Land Rover has chosen the city of Nitra to build the new production plant, which will be fully functional by the year 2018. When in full productivity, the new Slovakian facility will be able to manufacture 3,00,000 cars per year.
Slovakia is a Eurozone member, which also focuses heavily on the automobile industry. Carmakers such as Volkswagen, Kia, and Peugeot have manufacturing facilities set up in the country.
