Isuzu D-Max Runs From Thailand To Singapore In One Tank Of Gas
A convoy of Isuzu D-Max Pickup trucks successfully finished a journey of 1,809 km with a single tank of gas, that is from Thailand to Singapore with 76 litres of diesel.
The previous record by Isuzu was 1,600 km from Bangkok to Melaka, which has now been shattered by the company.
The convoy had two 2.5-litre models, one with a manual gearbox and the other with an automatic and two 3.0-litre engines with a manual and auto transmission. All four vehicles were equipped with 4X4 drivetrain.
This record shattering journey was flagged off from Ung Nguan Tai Isuzu dealership in Bangkok and ended at the Discovery Centre in Singapore.
An officer from Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) verified that the vehicles were strictly according to manufacturer's specification.
Although the Chevrolet Colorado and the Isuzu D-Max share the same platform, they are powered by different engines - the Isuzu uses its iTEQ range of engines for the D-MAX.
