Hyundai Hires Former Lamborghini Executive As Senior VP
In a very motivated attempt to shed the 'value for money' image, Hyundai has appointed former Lamborghini executive, Manfred Fitzgerald as the company's new Senior Vice President.
Fitzgerald was a former Director for Brand and Design at Lamborghini. In his new role, he will oversee Hyundai's global strategy for Genesis, Hyundai's luxury car brand. The Italian national will report to Cho Won-hong, Hyundai's Chief Marketing Officer.
Fitzgerald left Lamborghini back in 2011 to Loewe, a German TV maker, and later set up a brand consultancy firm called 'The Brand And Design Company' in 2013. He will now join Peter Schreyer, Hyundai's Chief Design Officer, Luc Donckerwolke, the designer behind the Hyundai Genesis brand, and Albert Biermann, who was with BMW M performance before joining Hyundai.
