The Genesis G90 Rendering — What Can We Expect From Hyundai's Luxury Brand?
The newly formed global luxury brand — Genesis, which is now the luxury division of Hyundai, has teased the 2016 Hyundai Genesis G90 in the form of sketches.
According to the company, the G90 sedan will offer a high level of technology, and the sketches highlight the hallmark design style 'athletic elegance,' and this styling cue will form the base of every future Genesis model.
From the sketches, it is evident there is a high influence of Audi front styling with a grand radiator grille and sophisticated headlamps. The Genesis design department is now headed by former Volkswagen Group designer Luc Donckerwolke; could this be the reason? Just saying . . .
Whatever said and done, the sketches of the new Genesis is striking with sharp character lines giving the G90 a dynamic and future-oriented character.
For now, the company is tight-lipped regarding the engine and transmission that is going to be offered. However, we feel the new G90 is going to feature large petrol engines, as the current G90 is powered by a 3.8-litre petrol engine, which is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The G90 sedan is primarily being developed for Korea and China, and by 2020 Hyundai Motor will launch six new Genesis models.
DriveSpark Feels! A little bit of Audi, a little bit of Mercedes, and a little bit of Bentley is what we see.
