Hyundai Elite i20 Achieves One Lakh Sales In India Within 11 Months

Korean automobile manufacturer, Hyundai has recently showcased tremendous confidence in Indian market. They have globally debuted two new products in the country, the Elite i20 and i20 Active.

Hyundai India has now achieved a milestone with their Elite i20 premium hatchback. The company managed to sell 1,00,000 cars within a span of 11 months across the country.

B S Seo, MD & CEO, HMIL expressed, "We are overwhelmed with the customer's response by receiving over unprecedented 100,000 sales for the Elite i20 in 11 months. This reflects the strong customer connect and confidence on Hyundai products."

Elite i20 is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options for India:

• A 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine produces 81.83 horsepower, along with 114.73 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
• A 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine produces 88.73 horsepower, along with 219.66 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Elite i20 is a global product and has been launched in India first prior to other international markets. The base model is priced at INR 5,54,057, while the top-end model costs INR 8,45,106 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
