Hyundai Creta To Be Priced Higher Than Duster & Terrano In India
Hyundai is expected to launch its very first compact SUV in India during July, 2015. They have christened this product as the ‘Creta' and is designed on their Fluidic Design philosophy.
The Korean based manufacturer has already reported massive pre-booking of Creta. Hyundai has confirmed that over 10,000 customers have shown purchase interest in their compact SUV.
Creta's main competitor has to be India's most popular compact SUV the Renault Duster. It will also compete with the likes of Nissan Terrano and soon to be launched S-Cross as well.
We always knew that the Creta will not be priced lower than most compact SUVs in India. Now there is a high possibility that Hyundai could price it higher than Terrano and Duster models.
Nissan has priced its Terrano base model at INR 10,58,000 and Renault Duster base model is priced at INR 9,09,250. The fully loaded Terrano costs INR 13,47,800 and Duster costs INR 13,63,365 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
Hyundai is expected to project its first compact SUV as a premium offering. The Creta will also be the only model that will be offered with an automatic transmission with its diesel mill. It will be packed with features and will a popular choice among compact SUV segment.
