Hyundai Creta Compact SUV Is The Name Of ix25 In India
South Korean automobile manufacturer has planned on entering the compact SUV market in India. This segment is fast growing in India along with several other new and interesting segments.
Hyundai India has showcased its ix25 compact SUV on several occasions at various motor shows. They have now decided to provide its offering with a name and have christened it ‘Creta'.
The name Creta will be used in both Indian as well as international markets. Production version of the Creta compact SUV will make its global debut in India, just like they did with i20 Active and Elite i20.
The Creta will rival the likes of the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Ford EcoSport and the soon-to-be-launched compact SUVs from Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki as well in India.
Designers have borrowed styling cues from Santa Fe and provide their Creta with a typical SUV stance. Hyundai India will provide its compact SUV with several safety features, a few of which will be standard equipment.
Hyundai will offer its Creta compact SUV in both petrol and diesel engine options. They are also expected to provide front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options as well. On offer will also be manual and automatic transmissions.
