Hyundai Creta Achieves 27,000+ Bookings, Manufacturing To Increase
The Hyundai Creta compact SUV has been launched recently in the Indian market and has witnessed extensive bookings. This is their first attempt at introducing a compact SUV in the country.
The Creta has been priced competitively and has attracted several Indian customers. Hyundai Motors India has reported receiving over 27,000 bookings since the launch of the compact SUV.
The Korean manufacturer has now decided to increase the production of the Creta to comply with demand. Hyundai knows that customers will not like to wait for too long a period for their vehicle and needs to capitalise on this initial demand.
The Creta is offered in two diesel engine options and a single petrol engine option. The base petrol model costs INR 9,01,806. The diesel 1.4-litre base model costs INR 9,93,035 and the 1.6-litre base version is priced at INR 12,16,436 ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The Hyundai Creta is the only model in the country that offers a compact SUV with a diesel engine and auto transmission. It also offers premium interiors and excellent creature comforts within cabin.
Competition is tough for Hyundai Creta, however, they have the advantage of a fresh product. The Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra TUV300 are its competitors.
