Honda Jazz Twist Crossover Begins Testing In Brazil, Could Come To India
Honda introduced the all-new Jazz premium hatchback in the Indian market during 2015. Now, the automobile manufacturer has commenced testing of the Jazz Twist crossover in Brazil. There is a high possibility of the crossover landing onto Indian shores.
The crossover segment is huge in the Indian market with almost every manufacturer having one product in the category. So far, there is no confirmation from Honda of the Jazz Twist coming to Indian markets anytime soon. Better clarity on this model will be received at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Minor changes will be provided to the exterior of Jazz Twist crossover model. Honda designers will provide the crossover with roof rails, plastic rubber side cladding, increased ground clearance, revised bumpers, larger wheels, skid plates, and much more.
In terms of engine options, Honda will continue offering the same petrol and diesel engines. Every country that receives the Honda Jazz Twist will be powered by the same engine that does duty in the hatchback. Honda engineers could tune the engine for a different feel in the crossover.
Honda Jazz Twist when it is offered in Indian markets will face tough competition. Currently, in Indian crossover segment Hyundai i20 Cross, Volkswagen Cross Polo, Toyota Etios Cross, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross compete against each other. With Honda already selling the Jazz in India, it is highly possible that we could see the Jazz Twist by 2016-end.
