Honda India Recall Accord & CR-V To Replace Airbag Inflator
Honda has been in the news several times this year and previously for recalls of their vehicles globally. It was mainly due to faulty components that were sourced from other manufacturers.
Now they will be recalling the Accord and CR-V in India. Honda explains there could be a problem with airbag inflator on passenger side in the SUV and on drivers side in the sedan.
The Japanese manufacturer will be replacing the faulty parts and will not charge customers for new parts. Honda has reported that 575 models of CR-V and 10,805 models of Accord will be recalled.
So far there is no reported incident regarding airbag problem in India. Replacement procedure will commence from 4th June, 2015 and customers will be notified via Honda dealerships.
Affected Honda Accord models were sold in India between 2003 to 2007. The CR-V model in question is 2004 model, which was sold in India.
