Honda Greater Noida Facility Stops Vehicle Dispatch Due To Damage
Japanese automobile giant, Honda, has a strong presence in India. They offer several models here and also export a few of them. Honda has one of their facilities in Greater Noida, where the dispatch of vehicles has been stopped.
Honda India has stopped the dispatch of vehicles from Greater Noida facility as there could be certain damage. The issue has been created due to paint fumes that have been released by factories in the surrounding vicinity. The Japanese manufacturer believes that this could affect the quality of their product.
Three vehicles are manufactured at the Greater Noida facility. All three of them of their dispatches have been stopped due to this unforeseen situation. Their CR-V SUV, Mobilio MPV and Brio hatchback will witness a delay in dispatch.
Honda India explained that a few of their vehicles that were parked in the yard have been damaged. There have been minor paint spots on a few vehicles due to the activities of a another facility close in the vicinity. The automobile giant has decided to rectify the issue and will change parts if needed.
The exact number of damaged vehicles have not been revealed, however, it is estimated that approximately 4,000 units may have been damaged. Honda expressed that the paint fumes have caused damage to plastic and chrome parts. Most of the rooftops on their vehicles have spots due to the paint fumes.
