Honda Brio To Develop Next-Gen Hatchback In India Itself
Honda had launched their compact hatchback the Brio back in 2011 in India. They have provided it with mild updates over the years to keep it in sync with modern times.
Japanese manufacturer has used the Brio hatchback for their other products. Basically they have used design elements from Brio to develop their Amaze and Mobilio models.
The manufacturer is also planning on introducing an all-new compact SUV that will be based on their Brio hatchback. It is most likely to be revealed at 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi its launch will follow soon.
Now Honda India will be providing its Brio with an update and it will designed and manufactured in locally itself. The Japanese manufacturer will take inputs from existing owners on how to improve their already good product.
They will continue providing the same engine that does duty in current models. It is most likely that Honda will not provide a diesel mill in their small car like they have done with their Amaze compact sedan.
An R&D centre will be inaugurated in Greater Noida by October, 2015. Honda will use this facility to develop the next-gen Brio, which will be made by purely by Indian designers.
