Honda BR-V Compact SUV Based On Brio Sketch Revealed

Honda India has a wide range of products on offer, However, they are missing out on a compact SUV model. This segment is growing at a rapid pace and manufacturers are soon jumping in.

The Japanese manufacturer has promised to launch a new compact SUV in Indian market, however, no details of which model or when it could be introduced.

Brio is one product by Honda that has given birth to several of their products. The Amaze and Mobilio are based on Brio model and share several similarities and is their most appreciated model as well.

Now Honda has revealed sketches of its upcoming BR-V prototype, which is based on Brio hatchback. This model is going to make its debut at 2015 Indonesian International Auto Show. BR-V stands for ‘Bold Runabout Vehicle' explains Honda.

This Auto Show will be held at Tangerang, Indonesia between 20th-30th of August, 2015. Booking will commence soon after reveal at the show in Indonesia.

Honda BR-V will be sold as a crossover utility vehicle in Indonesia. It has been developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., in Thailand and P.T. Honda R&D Indonesia for Asian markets.

Currently it will be offered with a single engine option of 1.5-litre petrol engine and two transmission options. The BR-V will sport three seating rows and seven people will be seated comfortably.
