Google Start Testing Self-Driving Car Prototypes In Texas
Google has started testing its self driving car prototypes in Texas, to gather more data in regards to how the car interacts with traffic, road conditions and people.
The American company started testing these cars since 2009 in its headquarters in Mountain View, California. A month ago, Google was testing smaller self driving cars on public roads around Mountain View.
The company is also ready to send a specially equipped Lexus RX450h prototype to be tested in Texas.
Companies like Google, Apple and other brands that are working on self driving or autonomous cars say that self drive technology should be ready by the year 2020.
The Google self driving cars have manual controls and a driver on board as well, in case there is a necessity for a human to resume control of the car.
