GM India Name Kaher Kazem As New Chief Operating Officer
Kaher Kazem has been named as the new Chief Operating Officer of General Motors India. Kazem was formerly an engineer at Holden.
He will be taking responsibility of the the manufacturing side from the 1st of August onwards. He will be moving to Talegaon Dabhade plant in Mumbai. Kazem is currently the Managing Director of General Motors Uzbekistan.
Kazem has been in this role since 2012 onwards. He was the Vice President of manufacturing and quality for GM Thailand and the ASEAN region prior to that.
The soon to be COO of GM India joined GM Holden in Australia in 1995 as a senior engineer and quickly grew, taking a number of key positions.
GM has also appointed Hardeep Singh Brar as the new Vice President of Sales, who was a former VW Group executive and also Jack Uppal as the new Vice President of marketing and customer experience.
All three executives will report directly to Arvind Saxena, the President and Managing Director of General Motors India.
