General Motors India Announce Mexico As Major Export Market
General Motors India recently announced their roadmap in the country. They also announced that they will making India their export manufacturing hub and will sell vehicles in several markets.
The automobile manufacturer now confirms that Mexico will be their primary export market. General Motors also rolled out their first Chevrolet Beat for export market on 1st of September, 2015.
Arvind Saxena, President and M.D., GM India, expressed, "In keeping with our commitment to the Make in India program, we are proud to produce exciting Chevrolet vehicles for the Mexican market."
He further added, "Exports will be an important and ever-growing part of our business. This is part of GM's strategy to make India a global export hub."
General Motors have set up their facility in Talegaon during September, 2014. Last year they managed to export 1,000 units and plan on exporting 19,000 units during 2015 from India.
Currently Beat hatchback is available in over 70 markets, which is sold as Spark in most markets. Chevrolet claims that it has managed to sell over one million Sparks and Beat hatchback models globally.
