Former VW Boss Martin Winterkorn Resigns As Audi Chairman

The former Chief Executive Officer of the Volkswagen group, Martin Winterkorn resigned as the chairman of German luxury automaker Audi on Wednesday. The news was conformed by spokesperson for the the Ingolstad based carmaker.
Wintekorn's latest resignation comes amid an investigation of two emissions scandals that occurred during his tenure as head of the Volkswagen group. He was forced out of his job at VW by shareholders on September 23, 5 days after news of the emissions scandal broke in the United States.
Volkswagen, in recent days, has been rocked by news that their engineers used methods other than the software to mess around with emissions results.
