Ford Recalls Almost 10,000 Cars In The United States
Ford is recalling 9,885 cars in two separate recall campaigns in the United States.
The first recall sees 9,017 units of the Ford Espace (produced between January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013) and Ford Focus ST (produced between May 3, 2012, and October 14, 2013) to replace splices in the engine wiring harness which may not have enough compression. This could cause the manifold absolute pressure sensor to send wrong signals to the powertrain control module which could end up stalling the engine.
The second recall affects 868 units of the 2013 Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and MKT. All of these cars have an issue with the fuel delivery module which can crack, which in turn can cause a fuel leak.
