Ford Mustang Apollo Edition Auctioned
Ford had recently made a one off Mustang called the Apollo Edition, in memory of the Apollo missions and was presented during the AirVenture festival in Wisconsin.
During this show, the car was to be auctioned as well and so it was. The car fetched USD 230,000. The proceeds will go to the Experimental Aircraft Association to help fund the groups Youth Aviation program, which helps youngsters become pilots.
The car is finished in a two-tone black and white paint job with red accents, and also alloy wheels with low-profile tyres.
Based on a 2015 model, it has a 5.0-litre engine with a supercharger under the hood, which produces 627 horsepower.
