Ford New Figo Hatchback To Launch In India On 23rd Of September
Ford India will be launching its all-new Figo hatchback on the 23rd of September, 2015. Currently, this updated model is being sold in Brazil as the 'Ka' model and is doing extremely well.
Previously, Ford launched their all-new compact sedan called the Figo Aspire, which is based on their Figo hatchback. They had showcased its concept model at 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Front Fascia of both Figo Aspire and Figo hatchback will look identical for 2015. Most of the design elements will be carry forwarded from their compact sedan to hatchback.
Under the hood of new Figo will most likely be a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine producing 110.42 Horsepower and 136Nm of peak torque output. Ford will also offer a 1.5-litre TDCi Duratorq mill, mated to a manual transmission.
We expect the 2015 Ford Figo to be equipped with all the safety features on offer in Figo Aspire. The American manufacturer always stresses on safety and will skip over it.
The new Figo will have tough competition from Tata Bolt, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10. Ford has, of recent, surprised us with their phenomenal pricing and we can surely expect the same with new Figo.
