Ford Recalls 16,444 EcoSports To Fix Handling Issue
Ford has proactively recalled 16,444 units of the Ford EcoSport compact SUV, produced between November 2013 and April 2014 to fix a handling related issue.
The issue can potentially rise due to the Rear Twist Beam Bolt not being tightened up to specifications which may lead to the breakage of the pivot bolt. This breakage can lead to handling issues and increase the risk of accidents.
Ford has issued the recall as a proactive voluntary action and no accidents related to the issue have been reported. Affected owners have been asked to get their vehicles inspected at their local Ford dealership. Ford will bear the cost if any repairs are required.
